Tracy Haddix – Full Bio

Tracy Haddix has worked in service to low-income and at-risk children and families for over 20 years, including over six years with Acelero/Shine Early Learning in various capacities, including the last two as the Senior Director of Projects and Program Launch.  Tracy has vast experience in grant and project development, executive coaching, organizational assessment and systems management.  She has experience in working with Community Action organizations, school-based programs, Migrant Head Start, child care partnerships and state early childhood systems and has led start-up of new Head Start programs in a number of states.

Tracy has a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication with an emphasis in management and is experienced in policy and procedure development, assessment, planning, strategic thinking/planning, budget monitoring and development, human resource development, and program evaluation.  She served for over 10 years on the Kentucky Governor’s Early Childhood Advisory Council after serving on the Governor’s Taskforce on Early Childhood Education.  She was also a member of the first cohort of New Director Coaches in the Program and Fiscal Management Center of Excellence’s Coaching Program.  Her first mentee was the Head Start Director for the 6th largest Head Start program in the nation, Broward County Schools, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  

Tracy thinks very quickly on her feet and is regarded as an accomplished trainer, public speaker and writer.  She is highly respected by staff as well as peers, community partners and funders.  With Tracy’s background and experience, she can offer high level support to administrations of new and existing Head Start programs in how to implement a data-driven systems approach in all areas of operation.
